Bow Community Primary School Curriculum
‘Pride In All We Do’
Here at Bow CP School, we have a creative and inspiring curriculum which promotes independence, encourages managed risk-taking, and provides memorable experiences which enrich children’s early lives. We value learning outside the classroom and have a well-established KS1 outdoor learning area, which provides further opportunities for pupils to develop collaboration and communication skills through play.
Our children learn best through practical 'hands on' learning opportunities; these enable them to experience learning in a meaningful way that reflects their interest and needs. We tailor learning to provide children with opportunities to develop skills and explore concepts. These will allow them to build their knowledge and understanding through topics that will capture their interest and stimulate their imagination. We involve the children in planning topics so that their learning reflects their interests, which motivates them to learn.
Please have a look at our 'Rolling Programme' page for further information about the topics that your child will be learning through, over the course of this academic year.
Professional development for our staff is key so that our dedicated team of teachers and support staff can best meet the needs of all of our pupils. Pupils’ learning is personalised and everybody is given opportunities to shine, both in and out of the classroom.
